RaneCAT-8100 is a gray/black slurry nickel metal catalyst promoted with molybdenum, supplied under water. It has no odor. It is pyrophoric and highly reactive with organic compounds when heated or allowed to dry.
Applications:
- Hydrogenation of sugars to sugar alcohols
- 1,4-BYD to 1,4-butanediol
- Hydrogenation of fatty nitriles to fatty amines
